Multi-Mania 2008, don't miss it !

Multi-Mania 2008 is a free one-day conference in Belgium where 800 people from the multimedia industry in mid Europe come together to share knowledge, to get inspired or to connect and network.

There will be sessions on audio, video, design, development, 3D and game development with again top (inter)national speakers with like Stephanie Sullivan, Greg Rewis, Aral Balkan, Peter Elst, Marco Casario [...]

During the evening there will be an award show where you could see the best multimedia projects from the upcoming talents. The doors will close with an exclusive 2M08 party till the late hours !

GH3 Wii replacement disc started

As you know, there was some problems with the audio output of Dolby Pro Logic II on the Wii version of Guitar Hero III. Activision and Nintendo have re-mastered the game and they are offering Wii consumers who have Dolby capabilities or audio issues free replacement discs.

360|Flex Europe 2008 is over

This premiere conference in Europe only focused on Adobe Flex just ended yesterday.

Those 3 days went really well with great sessions from very good speakers, with their own presentation style, for a wide range of developers. Tom and John set up a great venue with the help of their sponsor and Comtaste, thanks again to them, you really rocks guys!

It was nice to finally meet those people that you only knew through their blogs or via twitter (Ciao Marco, Luca, Jens, Dan & Andrea, Neil & Ashley Michael and..and... so more !). Of course, I cannot (and should not) forget the lovely - and sexy - Adobe team (Sumi, Andrea, Lucinda,…). They were really opened and they took the time to talk and listen to us. We had the chance to have a great diner with them on Monday!

Regarding the number of attendees, we cannot tell that the European Flex communities massively travelled to Milano, even if quite a lot of different EU countries were represented (for Belgium Koen, Sakri and me). From that point, it was a bit disappointing, but it makes this conference turn to a more socializing event, which was not bad at all :  usually you only have the time to talk for 5 to 15 mins with some people, but here we were able to talk for hours during diner and later in the hotel lobby (“In Croatia we have a saying..." :-) ). It was such a great experience not to talk only about technical subjects, but also to share our point of view on salaries, Flex market penetration in the EU, how to deal with our family life, politics etc... it's so far one of the best event i attended !

We could think now about another great location for 360|Flex Europe 2009 and make this one an even more successful event... who said more beers ? :-)

My 360|Flex Europe schedule
